It’s about being fully expressed creatively. It’s protection, magical adornment, and knowing how to walk through this moment in creation and sustainability.

We personally think we need more gold chain talismans, leopard fur protection energy, & blue eyeshadow spells at the craps table kind of energy. We need long spiked nails adorned with fake jewels and hair that is done up as a warrior helmet.
We need La Madrina energy (the community godmother).

Lady Luck is a "system" that is Vegas style energy mixed with our ancestral land-based, collective, well woven ways. It’s a potent way to call in what we need (and want). We use our oracular (tarot), ritual, and ancient adornment traditions to weave it back into memory.

Do you see money as a living current that can be used to redistribute & tend to the needs of ourselves and our people? Great! So do we. It’s how we both were raised. This energy is Lady Luck. It’s an ancestral energy we all carry.

The Journey

We begin by naming the stories—personal, cultural, and ancestral that shape our reality + relationship with money.

We meet 5 times over three months with the 2 Marys. 3 calls are learning and mapping calls and 2 are ritual making calls. Each call is approx 2 hours long.

Before we meet you’ll receive IN THE ACTUAL MAIL a bound workbook that will serve as your companion for our journey together and beyond. This book will be beautiful (You’ll co-create the beauty in it). Your workbook becomes a record of your relationship with resources and a spell in its self.

Month 1

ancestral stories

What’s been imposed, what’s been inherited, what’s waking under the skin. We listen to the body, work with carefully chosen tarot cards, and allow a new narrative to begin emerging.

Month 2

action

Once our stories are identified, we’re mapping out steps to taking action toward desires, goals, & a fortifying container for grounded and joyful resource management. We explore risk taking & bold moves with support & accountability.

Month 3

roles & receiving

What does it mean to hold resources with empathy and resistance? How do we receive in our work, and how does our work need to shift? How will we implement everything we have learned together?

Across our sessions and in the workbook, we work with somatic grounding and movement, tarot mapping, writing, ancestral connection, glamour magic, fire and cutting rituals, learning when to act and when to retreat. We will cultivate what quenches instead of dehydrates.

This work asks for your attention and participation.

It’s real work—done differently, through folk magic and oracular presence, through collective togetherness and tending to the body.

Who we are

MARYBETH BONFIGLIO

I’m a mother, writer, tarot reader/ teacher, and a culturally inherited + trained facilitator of embodied lineage practices. I have been facilitating online and in-person creative + healing workshops for over 15 years centering on writing, tarot, and folk magic ways of being. I’m also the founder of Radici Siciliane—which takes people on immersive cultural journeys in the heart and soul of Sicily. I have been involved in community work my whole life, beginning within the extended family I was raised in. I have my MFA in creative non-fiction + a BA in Philosophy. I believe in alternative economies and class justice and I'm devoted to La Madonna. I’m thrilled to weave so many aspects of my work and passion within Lady Luck. Working with the other Mary (DeLorenzo Woods) is truly a dream.

MARY DELORENZO WOODS

I am a mixed-media artist, folk herbalist, & the creator behind the tarot deck, the Rockstar Tarot. I've been working with the tarot and giving readings in my community for 15+ years. I am the mother of daughters, a rosemary romancer, a coffee magician, & a lover of the sounds of sitars, trumpets, and electric guitars. I believe that personal is the political, & I have a bachelor of art's degree in women and gender studies from SFSU and studied folk herbalism with the Gaia School of Healing & Earth Education. I am heavily guided by my Italian American background, which extends from all 4 of my grandparents. Lady Luck is an amalgamation of many things I hold dear to my heart, and I couldn’t be more thrilled that the ancestors brought Marybeth & I together to weave magic.
